It is a privilege to assume the chancellorship of Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola and become the custodian of the enormous legacy built by our institution through the successful, professional work of those who came before me.

I am convinced that our future is based on continuing to reaffirm our strategic pillars for which we are known in academic circles and the business world.  These are entrepreneurship, social responsibility, internationalization and decentralization.

The university is committed to the sustainable development of our country.  Through its different programs, the University Alliance for Social Action provides our students and staff with the opportunity to heighten their awareness, train and participate directly in the process of changing realities.  The results obtained over time have been very positive; thousands of young people have become involved in social responsibility activities, thousands of future professionals who will continue changing realities in order for our country to continue developing without leaving anyone behind.

I invite you to become decidedly involved in this transformation, since not only others will be given the opportunity to grow, but rather one is enriched by the realization that through the sum of many individual efforts, ambitious goals can be achieved.
