Competence-based education
Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola attains its academic goals through a competence-based curriculum that meets the demands of a globalized world. In order to achieve this, starting from a student’s first year, values, social responsibility, human development and bilingual education are incorporated in courses in science and the humanities, as well as in management and courses for the student’s major. Each student’s skills and potential are evaluated starting from his/her first semester in order to optimize skills in management and communication, as required by the contemporary professional world. Lastly, the curriculum includes courses which enable a student to obtain a solid background in his or her major and apply to a graduate program in Business Administration.

Interactive Methodology
Our faculty uses a methodology that combines theoretical concepts with management and business experience, through case studies. Knowledge acquired in class is complemented with practical assignments that require research. Student-professor interaction contributes toward a dynamic learning process.
Virtual University - INFOSIL
INFOSIL is a web-based information system that provides academic information to students, enabling them to monitor their performance in the comfort of their own homes. This system facilitates communication between faculty members and students through the publication of announcements, assignments, syllabi, lectures and exams. Additionally, it provides information on courses, students’ schedules, faculty members’ schedules, attendance, the curriculum, evaluation schedules, grades, bulletins, regulations and other academic matters. Lastly, students can monitor their account statements and make tuition payments via the Internet with the security provided by the VISANET payment gateway.
