Our accreditations
At Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL), the ongoing pursuit of academic excellence is reflected in an institutional culture focused on continuous improvement and educational quality. This commitment has enabled the university to obtain institutional licensing granted by SUNEDU, as well as important national and international accreditations that endorse our academic programs.
Thanks to this solid approach, USIL is positioned as one of the leading universities in the country and the region, with standards aligned to the highest global demands. We are backed by prestigious accrediting agencies such as the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) in the United States, the Sistema Nacional de Evaluación, Acreditación y Certificación de la Calidad Educativa (SINEACE) in Peru, as well as other renowned quality assurance entities: ACPHA, ACFEF, UNWTO.TedQual, EQUAA, and ICACIT.

Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC)
One of the most significant achievements of Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola in recent years was obtaining institutional accreditation in February 2025 from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), one of the most prestigious agencies for evaluating educational quality at the international level.
This recognition positions USIL as the first Peruvian university—and the only one in Latin America—to receive this credential, highlighting its compliance with rigorous standards of academic excellence, effective management, and continuous improvement.
DEAC is an accrediting agency recognized by two of the most important entities in higher education in the United States: the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

The Sistema Nacional de Evaluación, Acreditación y Certificación de la Calidad Educativa (SINEACE) is the Peruvian entity responsible for ensuring the quality of higher education programs through rigorous and objective evaluation processes.
Within this framework, the Architecture and Urban Planning program received official accreditation from SINEACE through Resolution No. 214-2020-SINEACE/CDAH-P, valid for six years: from November 20, 2020, to November 19, 2026.
This model considers it essential that programs provide evidence demonstrating that graduates achieve the expected competencies upon completing their studies. It also requires the existence of systematic mechanisms to track alumni outcomes, assess the fulfillment of educational objectives, and use this information to inform academic decision-making and strengthen continuous improvement.
