USIL has signed an agreement with CMO Group and Sinfonía por el Perú with the aim of developing the talent of young Peruvian musicians

San Ignacio de Loyola University, aware of the educational reality of the country, has been implementing the social responsibility program Beca Potencial Perú (Perú Potential Scholarship, or BPP). This program aims to benefit young people from public schools or emerging sectors with academic, artistic, or sports potential through the co-financing of their university or technical education at San Ignacio de Loyola University or the Instituto de Emprendedores (Entrepreneurship Institute), respectively.

To achieve this goal, USIL is bringing together and engaging diverse agents within higher education, such as families, social organizations, and private companies, that seek to promote quality higher education throughout the country. To this end, an important alliance was signed last June with Sinfonía por el Perú (SPP), an association founded by the successful Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez that is currently a source of young musicians, 25 of whom will be able to attend the Music Studies program at San Ignacio de Loyola University.

With the same objective, SPP and the CMO Group – a Peruvian company engaged in the design, execution, and maintenance of public and private works in the healthcare sector ¬– signed an addendum was signed last Tuesday, October 2. As part of their social responsibility, SPP and CMO Group will join the Beca Potencial Perú as sponsors of the 25 selected young musicians.

The agreement was signed at the USIL headquarters in Pachacámac, where the music study program facilities are located. The authorities of the three institutions shared ideas to make this alliance sustainable. The event concluded with a musical presentation from the current grantees of Beca Potencial Perú.

Speaking on behalf of the CMO Group were Miguel Gomero (Chairman of the Board) and Luis Felipe Quirós (General Manager), while Miguel Molinari (Executive Director) spoke on behalf of Sinfonía por el Perú. Participating on behalf of USIL were Raúl Diez Canseco Terry (Founder and Chairman of the Board), Ramiro Salas Bravo (Rector), Miu Huang Li (Vice President of Social Responsibility), and Toma Mihaylov (Director of the Music Studies program).
